I just got EZDrummer as an anniversary present (woot-woot). Anyway I got an email from ToonTrack about a sale that GuitarCenter is having on expansion packs so I checked it out. Well......the Expansion Packs are 39.99 through Oct. 31st and GC is also selling EZDrummer for $99 and you get one FREE EZX pack too. Great deal... only if I knew sooner. The only catch I saw was it looked like EZDrummer was going to be shipped (6-8) weeks... although it'd be just in time for X-mas (PM me for my address). I'd verify the shipping time with GC first though... don't go by my word. |

Our GC local store's sale prices usually are almost as cheap as everybody elses everyday price. You can do better somewhere else in almost every case. Often you can do a *lot* better by not going to GC. |

Over the course of a few months I've been looking around at prices for for EZDrummer and I couldn't find it for less than $145. That price also didn't include an expansion pack of your choice. Had I known about this last week I could have saved $50 + approx. another $80 for the expansion pack. NewKid if you know where it's cheaper than you should definitely post it. |

Sales come, sales go. Looks like EZ is in a sales push now. Google found at least 3 places as cheap as GC right now. Often when I visit a web site and look around they come up with even cheaper prices. Amazon often points to the cheapest site. And you can often take that price to your favorite web-store to get it matched. Those aggregator sites rarely find the best deal but can give you an idea of the price to match/beat. All that said, I have bought from our local GC. But I try to avoid them because of the outrageous city sales tax. And it is rare that they are as good as other stores prices (and they never beat them). All too often the GC sales price is still higher than other stores everyday price. GC even tried to sell me repacked returns at list price during a supposed sale. And that was even a bunch higher than the GC web price which was way higher than most other web sites. The best way to buy cheap is to visit every music sales web store you can find and check prices. Ask GC to match it if you want to deal with your local store. I know people who claim they can even get another 10% off if they do that. I have had problems even getting their alleged sale price let alone a price match. Get the cheapest price matched by your usual web supplier with a good customer feedback if you are leery about someplace on the web you never heard of. But keep in mind those buyer feedback ratings are not gospel and I have bought from low rated stores and been happy, and I have had problems with highly rated stores. |

Good info... Looks like that sales push is allowing many businesses to offer that price. Regardless it's still cheaper than I've ever seen. Hopefully it can help a few ppl save some $$$!!!! |
