Has anyone had the chance to listen to both versions of Ben Taylor's recording of "I Will"? Have you had the chance to compare both versions? What would you say is the difference in quality between each version? Which one of these two versions do you like best?

Interesting. The first clip you can really hear how much was acceptable in regard to vocal pitch. While there is necessarily bad in the pitch, there are TONS of small little pitch variations that you simply don't hear in modern music.
They seem about the same to me, but obviously the first clip is a much poorer quality mp3. Brandon

The parts that are exactly identical in both versions are the vocals and the drum rhythms. When Ben Taylor recorded this, Frank told me that when they submitted this version, that is, the version in the first attachment, to Bye Bye Love film director Sam Weisman, he said that the drums and vocals were just fine. However, the guitar melody had some chords that seemed "a bit too dark emotionally" for the film. Because the song was put in the end of the film at the spot when the credits are rolling, Sam wanted to end the film on a happy note, rather than a sad note. In the guitar line, Sam noticed, by carefully analyzing the recording, that there's a specific combination of chords in there, that sounds a little on the minor side. So, he asked Ben and Frank if they would go back into the studio to change it up a bit. Frank and Ben, along with Ben's Papa James, went back into the studio, and reworked the guitar line, Bassline, and Keyboard riff, replacing the "Minor" chords with major chords. Do you notice that difference in the arrangements? Also, do you notice a difference in the length of both versions? What would you say the quality is of each version? I know you said the first one is poor quality. What bitrate would you say it is, compared to that of the second version?

Has anyone had the chance to carefully analyze both versions of Ben Taylor's recording of "I Will"? Did you compare the quality of both versions? Did you compare the difference in the length and the musical arrangement of both versions? Which one of these versions do you like best? Do you know perhaps where I could find a high-quality, stereo recording of the first attachment I posted? Frank Filipetti said the best way I could probably find it is by contacting Sam Weisman, the film Director of "Bye Bye Love". Do you think Sam would know of any further information about this first version? So far, I haven't had any luck, as I've contacted Sam via Email, with both attachments by the way, and I'm still waiting for his answer. Does anyone have any suggestions?
