 Anti-Overcompression in Winamp
So something I just found in winamp - if you open the EQ menu (just to the right of the volume and panning sliders), there's a preamp slider on the left that if you slide down a little bit when you're playing those overcompressed songs, it removes that crushing sound. I assume there's still some dynamics lost but it definitely seems to improve things. Possibly something very obvious but its seem like a nice little tool   |
