How much is the plugin?

Again, I'm waiting on that stupid ilok2 before I can run this thing through the ground.
I've heard tracks both with and without it here at RecordingReview. In doubled blind tests (part of the Audio Skeptics Society I plan on pushing once I get around to it in 2054) I said whatever THAT is, I WANT IT!!It turns out that THAT was the Slate Digital VCC. I liked what it did A LOT.
What pisses me off the most is I own a Toft ATB32. It's a very utilitarian console with an excellent broad-stroke equalizer. When I sum through it, I don't hear the same magic I do in this damn plugin. I paid $10k for my console, wiring, and patchbays and I don't get that same KAPOW I've already heard in this plugin. What the hell! That kind of thing makes me want to get even. I just don't have a victim YET. (Watch your back!)
Anyhow, it's possible that some scumbag lied on his Audio Skeptics Society entry. I'll be giving this plugin the virtual reach around ASAP.
It is included as an option for the winner of each monthly competition in the Slate Digital Cup and is included in the package that Grand Prize winner will receive (along with every other Slate Digital Plugin FOR LIFE)

lol! that thing could have already been there and ida never known what it was.Oops. I forget to add the comparison shop thing. Fixed. See original post
It was prob there already and you just replied like that so i didnt feel like such a dumb ass. Thats not necessary. I have already learned to accept it.
I already own this thingy, and I must say it's quite nice.. It kind of glues the mix a little better. it does not do wonders,(maybe sometimes :P) but it adds something nice to the over all sound.
tomorrow when I wake up there's gonna be a brand new mix to fix.
IIRC, fHumble did an ASS on this and it went pretty strongly for the VCC version.
Can you get it to hiss less by automating faders down when not in use?
For example, I have 18 tracks with VCC set up on it. In a quite vocal and guitar only intro, there's too much hiss. Could I automate all the other tracks down to reduce the hiss?
Based on the Fingaz post, I hear it do GREAT things in that 1% kind of way....similar to what hardware does in that you don't hear a HUGE difference, but your emotions meter goes up disproportionately. I dig that. I can't wait to give it hell when my stupid Ilok2 comes in.I already own this thingy, and I must say it's quite nice.. My understanding of the automute feature was that it was at the end. So if you have a track going with some sound, you'll have that hiss. And it can sound lo-fi and be annoying. I don't have VCC but I was wondering if there was a way to reduce the hiss in quiet (not silent) points while still allowing sound from one or two tracks through.

I only ever use the Neve emulation.
It just creams the low end on mixes and does something that is impossible to do with EQ on individual tracks.
Gotta be careful not to abuse it though, or it can ruin mixes.
I quite like the VCC on some things, but I wouldn't say it necessarily improves ANYTHING or is the wonder that some people make it out to be. On the ASS I did with it, people could quite easily tell the difference, but no-one really thought the mix was necessarily improved by it. Just another flavour to choose from..

All you really need is a picture of you sitting infront of a $50,000 48 channel mixer with pretty lights. Get that and you're in business.
Would you please link us to the tracks/posts you heard on the forum?
I'm definitely interested. I've heard nothing but good things about the Waves console plugins, so I'm curious to hear how well Slate did it for $150 less haha.
Thanks
