I have it and it's great!!!! Still some options and bugs that should be fixed in the next update as I hear but outside of that... WOW!
I just downloaded SSD4 and will be installing it soon. Initial thoughts based on the video are that SSD4 is the new standard in drum production and an absolute must for 95% of us. Based on the video, this thing is thought out on a level I've never seen of a drum sampler and surpasses samplers that were the top dogs just 3 months ago.
I'll be including a real deal review soon, but I've got a feeling we all know what I'm gonna say.
Steven Slate Drums 4 will be included as one of the OPTIONS for the monthly winner of each contest in the Slate Digital Cup and also included in the Grand Prize Winner of the Slate Digital Cup (among every other Slate Digital plugin FOR LIFE).

Yeah, it's totally normal for a few bugs in version 1 of anything. They'll get all of those ironed out, I'm sure.

that drag n dro feature is way cool, easy rapid drum layering with no phase or samplerate issues! like it :-)
Is there any kind of deals where you can get trigger and SSD4? It seems like I'd be paying for the samples twice if I'm getting both Trigger Platinum and SSD4 Platinum - which I will do probably sometime near the end of the year if I don't win any of the monthly contests![]()

I just got SSD4 for 199 at guitar center as a download purchased in the store if that helps. It looks like they just dropped the price from 250.

There may be some overlap with some of the samples, but the core functionality is quite a bit different on these two tools. If you are looking at their similarities as a reason to question cost, I think you are looking at the wrong thing. Is there any kind of deals where you can get trigger and SSD4? I can see why they are separate, unique products as they do totally different things.

Don't get trigger platinum then? The only difference between Trigger Platinum and EX is the sample library (correct me if I'm wrong). Two different tools, but if you have a good sample library or if your getting SSD4 Platinum then I guess you can just get the Trigger EX which is like 150$ cheaper than the Platinum.
Btw, daaamn I want SSD4... to bad I spent so much money on my guitar rig...
