Link to our mixes for reference

Hiho,

are we allowed to link from our own studio pages (or facebook for example) to our mixes that we turn in for the cup?

If yes, is there a way to embed the player directly, and can we do that?

They must be submitted via the upload feature. It's just to crack down on potential cheaters (I think). Not calling you one, but it could happen more easily that way than this way. This way you can't remove and re-upload changes.

Yeah even i had same doubt. If its permissible to upload the song in personal soundcloud or any account to display or profile the work we have done. Ofcourse the due credits related to all the aspects will have to be mentioned.In a way best improvements in the work or mix have come through the feedbacks on this site. So it will be a real gem of a help if these songs can be shown to the outside world or potential clients.

Can you maybe reassure that with the bands in the competition?
I'd love to be able to refer to my work here without any danger of being sued...

As long as you give credit to the artists and engineers I think it should be okay. With the 2.0 world now, everything goes through internet promotion. The more the better I think. I was in a couple of bands and I would have loved for engineers putting my songs on their website.

What I do on my portfolio is : link to artist, link to engineer/studio and link to RecordingReview.

I believe both LazyE (Clockwork Clown) and Hemlock Lane/bholst (Present Tense) have given permission for anyone mixing the song in the contest to use it in their mixing portfolio. That permission, as well as lyrics for the song, I would hope become a standard part of the song submission process.
