Song Key
This is from a PM from stan_halen. If any of you can make it out, knock yourself out.

I got word back that Zack says the song is in G Flat. He didn't specify Major or Minor, and I think it's essentially the same scale notes as F Sharp, but written as flats instead of sharps (Gb = F# etc). My Scale book doesn't show a Gb Minor so I guess that means it's Major. Still, there is no Eb used in the song, only E natural ...

Tried downloading the zip files twice and they did not work (would not unzip) both times. I'm sure it's an issue my end, but if you could let us know the approx zipped file size of each batch, that would be great. My two attempt have yielded different sized batches each time.... In fact, I've found the RR site to be very slow today. Perhaps the guy who rides the bike to fire the generator is not riding hard enough here in oz! Cheers.

Hey Dan! How's Melbourne tonight? I had no problem with the zip files up here - they all came through complete...

If you haven't already, may I suggest getting a Download Manager? If you're downloading huge files, it cuts down the time it takes massively, & it cuts down on errors too. I use this one, but there are probably heaps of them available: Internet Download Manager: the fastest download accelerator

Thanks guys. Yeah I figured it was my problem after the file sizes changed. Downloading again before I saw these replies so if no go again, I'll try FF's suggestion. Not had issues before so I'm not sure.... Cheers again.

I'm checking the downloads now. I'm downloading at the usual speed of about 600kb/s which is my max download speed. I have no explanation for the slower speed. I'm too tired to take full responsibility right now. Maybe later.

I'll try unzipping them and see what happens.

It's definitely not your issue! Not sure why I'm having problems. Ironically, I have a full, child free day with no work responsibilities and was planning on getting right into this mix today. Perhaps that's why it does not work. I expect all problems resolved at 4:30 when the kids get home! Don't stress, I'll figure it out.....sometime...

I actually had the same problem last night after i downloaded the two sets of files.

Tryed to extract them using Winrar and got a error,on both of them.

Im going to try and re-download them and extract them in a minute.

Ill post my results after my second attempt.

I've only ever had trouble onceusing winrar and i been using it for years. when i did, someone sugested trying 7-zip so i did and that worked.

weird really, but i guess somethings are just sent to try us...hahaha!!

All working now. I am not sure why, but I simply accessed the site using Google chrome instead of using Firefox like I usually do. Not sure why or if that makes a difference but it's working (one is so far, the other is still downloading...). The files were only partially downloading the last three times I tried through firefox.... go figure?

Looking forward to getting stuck into this song today, nice to start early for a change!

I got an error with the acoustic guitar on the first download. Everything else unzipped. I'll try redownloading to see if it works.

Update on song key: I got a message back from the band that the key of the song is G Flat. I had thought it fit into F Sharp, though it seems like there is a *natural* on a B or an E for these depending on which way you grab it.

I don't know if this really makes a hill of beans to anybody. Just thought I'd pass it along.
