Default Uke Brands?

I'm looking to get a uke, anyone know a good, inexpensive brand? Preferably under $100 (I think a lot are) and something that I could carry around (AKA not really fragile or anything. It has to withstand a lot).

Dude,

I can't help you, but I HAVE to hear a recording of yours with a Uke. I don't know why, but this is a big deal to me.

msot ukes can be found cheap enough... dig through music123.com and see what they have.... we even have a few ukes at work in stock... Sam Ash used to have a decent uke for $19 or so...

have you checked out Ebay?

My girlfriend got me an Oscar and Schmidt Ou5 for my birthday. I've never played a uke before but it sounds pretty good to me. I believe she got it off musicansfriend for $129. Stock strings are crappy and keep going out of tune, but I'm hoping a new set will fix that.
