I go to these folky jams now and there is a room full of guitars. They mostly play classic rock, which seems to be the new Folk. I came into the room & they said "oh no...we don't need any more guitars." That was when I wished I had a mandolin. In fact I have been wanting to buy something like a mando that is good for melody but is a little less 'high strung'. Like a bouzuki or an octave mandolin. |

I'd buy one of those if I only had 1) money, 2) time to play it, and 3) folks to play it with. I get bored playing by myself. That's why I got recording stuff and synths so I could create multiple tracks to play along with. Still working on those tracks. |
