Default not exactly an instrument, but...

Ok this is not exactly what I would call an instrument, but we were watching this goofy new show called America's Got Talent, and there was a guy on there who called himself a professional finger snapper. I thought it was really dumb at first, but he was really jamming. It was actually kind of cool.

I LOVE hamboning! One of my secret dreams is to spend time exploring this.

I'm also and EXcellent clapper (as well as finger snapper). Wish I had a chance to do it more!

Let me know if you need something clapped or snapped to!

PS tip I already posted: QWIKSORT (for making finger slightly gummy when sorting papers in an office) make for snaps that are the bomb. try it

I'd call it an instrument. It's no different than any other melodically devoid rythmic type of thing.

I know it takes some talent. I sure couldn't do it. The guy was really gettin' it too. He was really good. I've never seen the show before that night because I'm just so tired of all the reality shows, but my son had it on and he called me in there to see that snapping guy. He made it through to the next round, so now I'm gonna' have to watch just to see what he does next.

This reminds me of that other thread "greatest drummer of all time"

I now have an answer B..........

The greatest drummer of all time was this dude (have no clue what his name is) down on Beale St. This sucker played on 5 gallon buckets with 2 drum sticks. He made the buckets sound better than almost any drum set I've ever heard before, lol.

Now imagine what that dude would have sounded like with a real drum set. In fact, maybe it's better than he just uses buckets !!

Randy, I think I know who you are talking about. I used to work on Beale Street. There were a lot of bands that played in the clubs that weren't really that good,(although some of them were). But a lot of the street musicians outside were awesome!
By the way, did you used to work on Beale, too or were you just visiting?

Just visiting. And yeah, I know what you mean. Alot of the street performers were more entertaining than the acts inside.
