I know that they are quite possibly the cheesiest on stage instrument ever made, but I want one. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with any of the ones out there. I know that Roland is the only company still making a new one, but there are a lot of older keytars (Korg and Yamaha) that seem like they might be alright. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with any of them.

First of all, that's the best image EVER. I'd rather see that than a naked chick at least some of the time.
There's a local guy who works in Shivelbines who has one. Scott Beerschwall. (I'm not sure about the spelling of his last name). I've seen him use it live. I wouldn't call these things cheesy anymore. They are sort of making a comeback. It's about that time anyway. Brandon

Man, keep these images coming. I'm tempted to make a gallery of people playing keytars.

![]() How about this one? The photo is "Degarmo and Key", one of the more prominent "Christian rock" bands of the 80's. My first record was mixed on a little ADAT studio in a back room of Michael W Smith's "RocketTown" teen club. There, in a closet gathering dust, my producer Greg Strange www.gregstrange.com found Eddie DeGarmo's old keytar which he had evidently left behind and forgotten about. I wonder if Greg still has it?
