Bass playing much be smooth smooth smooth unless you are going for like the Sex Pistols sound which is the opposite. The touch takes lots of time to develop. I'd recommend you using your metronome every single day for at least 20 minutes and I'd focus on making yourself sound good. Don't do too much fancy shit too fast. Play along to your favorite records. Play close attention to your intonation. To be a "real" bass player is a big deal. It's just as hard as the Yngwie / Vai stuff in my opinion. It just takes a ton of practice and a little talent. By the way, I'm also disgusted with the way I sound. Brandon

Thanks Brandon. A funny thing is yesterday I actually decided I would get out the metronome that I had bought months ago and never took the time to actually use. I can't find the damn thing anywhere. I guess that's life.

Yeah well,
3 months ago, you had reason to practice to a click, too...... you were going to be recording in 3 months, one week. Brandon
