    Well, here's my take.

    Another good choice by Brandon.
Quite a challenge; both in direction and implementation.

Sorry for my lack of participation, but am very thankful for the opportunity.

    Hi

Good mix, the bass is high, but does not have harmful resonances, In general the song could have more low end. The chimes go a bit in the vocal way, the vocal could sound more clear by taking away some resonant mids. But in general the frequency distribution sound good

    Good luck

Typing as I listen, and straight off there is a real unique feel to this mix. A real clarity in all the parts and I like how you have really pushed back the feel of the synth. The bass is very much up front in the verse, but it works ok. Chorus comes in nicely, but I feel the strings really needed some more stringent automation, as some notes really jump out and others and drop off.

Your vocals sound great and I like how you have treated and balanced the backing vocals, especially in the verses. The drums sound pretty solid, but I feel like there should/could be a little more low end in the bass and kick to make the mix really thump more. Having said that, that may not have been your vision entirely and the mix is in no way harmed by the lack of low end, as both instruments can clearly be heard and are not masking each other!

Really, other than the strings being a little loose, I don't hear any issues with this mix. Perhaps, if anything, there could be some subtle changes made to make each transition or each section have greater impact, but really, to me, this is a mix that was very enjoyable to listen to. Awesome job!!!

I like this Clamprod. Theres only a few things that come to mind. I love the kick and snare you got going on but maybe just a hair more low end info to give the kick more thump. sounds great but just needs a little more balls. The other thing is the vocals. I think the hi vocal works good in the verses, choruses and endding but if you leave it too far out infront of the backing vocals it suffers. The hi vocal has trouble hiting some of the notes and this is sticking out in the vocal arangement.

With that all said I really like your mix. Nice job.

    Hi,

Cool one, I like the overall feel you gave to the song. The choruses sounds quite full and powerful, good point.

First thing I noticed is that the bass is a bit too loud. It a bit tiring after some time.

Outer than that, nothing sounds wrong to me. I feel like the song is not as exiting as it could be, but I don't where that could reside

    Nice one !

Very solid job, clamprod! I have to agree that it sounds as though there could be a bit more low end, but I'm wondering if that isn't actually the result of just a bit much low mid in the kick. In my monitors I'm getting a decent thump form the kick, but when the mix gets more dense there's a good bit of 150-200Hz that seems to take over. That frequency range seems to be very present in the bass as well so it kind of overshadows the kick's low thump.

You did a really nice job, IMO, of taming the harshness in the synths and your vocals sound good - a little more tuning, especially on the high vocal part would have helped, but the tones definitely work for me. Also "this heart's" around 1:39 needed some work - it's kind of week as originally recorded so it needed some help (I've heard that on lots of mixes, though, so you're certainly not alone there).

Altogether, though, you've come up with a very listenable mix. A little more attention to little details would have made it excellent, in my opinion. Very nice job!

Like the quite synths, this creates a nice smooth feeling to the song. I like where this is going so far. I like the sharpness of the cello! THE LOW NOTE IS AUDIBLE!!!! Ok that chorus really came out without being fancy. Tight, hard, and straight forward. This is one of my favorite chorus mixes. The synths go on the down low for a while and come back out for the instrumental. I like that. It made me not sick of them! I can tell you liked the bass and cello to be the foundation of the instruments.

Very tight mix, didnt miss the synths, and didnt get sick of them! Great job man!

    Nice and clear!

This mix is very forgiving to listen to and I can turn it way up without it getting harsh! I like the big fat bass. I found getting any bottom end out of this to be quite a struggle. But you definitely succeeded in getting some good low end than meshes well with the boom of the kick.

The harmonies are a little offset from the main vocals at times, but it was only a few phrases.

Good string sound, very naturalish and tastefully done.

    Hey Clamprod,
    > Vey very good. You stayed away from adding a bunch of Fx, and ear candy type trickery.. I'm really good with that. A lot of the mixes are filled with it. Not saying it's a bad thing , but it can take away from a song rather than reinforce it.
All frequencies are transmitting well. There is not any type of ear fatigue in the 2k - 2.5k nor is the 10k - 15k area getting crispy. The low end is good as well. Just a tad more thump in the kick would not hurt. Good Job, Jojo

Nice and great job here, kudos. Not very much to say here.

About the low end, it doesn't hurt and it sounds decent. I think it may work nicely on PC speakers or whatever none-accurate loudspeaker IMO.
I agree that sometimes the kick can be a hair louder.
But I also think your snare needs some low mid to fit better with the drumkit. It appears a bit too thin for me.

    Good job

    Great mix, Clamprod...

You seem to have taken a different direction with the low end to most mixes - You've really featured the bass more strongly than the kick... What I noticed is that you brought the kick in much stronger during the choruses to drive them. I like that approach - it works very well for the long-term dynamics of the song.

    Really good job!

Nice groove in this mix especially in the chorus and the vocals are really well treated. I do think that you could have tightened up the tuning in a couple of spots especially the lead vocal from the solo to the end. Other than that this is a solid mix.
