Re: Wisdom teeth
Yah, back in June, I had my wisdom teeth pulled. All of them were completely impacted (as in they were completely and totally part of the jaw bone). It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, though. I mean, I was totally out of it for the extraction (general anesthesia, the I.V. drip worked very well, out in about 5 minutes), then I didn't realize anything happened until I woke up in another room and my face felt like it collided with a semi-truck. But my mom drove me back home and I watched TV for the afternoon. So I was feeling pretty good, and actually wanted to eat a lot, but since I was still pretty drugged up (750 mg of hydrocodone with 600mg of ibuprofen and the remnants of Novocaine) and couldn't feel my own tongue, I pretty much only could eat liquids. But lo and behold, my friend's band was playing a show that night, so I was really trying to get better for that evening. I made it to 7:30 (they played at 8:00), but right when I was about to leave, my stomach, which had been bothering me all day, finally gave in. The excess blood/anesthesia which had made its way into my stomach finally came out in one massive spew of vomit. Needless to say, it was nasty. So I told my friend who was gonna take me there (you're supposed to drive for 24 hours after surgery) I wasn't gonna go. What do you know, 10 minutes later, I felt better than I had all day.
IN short, Wisdom teeth suck!
