I found out later than his name is actually "Handsome" Pete, but oh well, everybody already knows I'm handsome! No need to brag about it.

I don't use my screen name on this site of course as things have gotten a bit more serious in my life and I didn't feel the need to use an alias. But on most of the other sites I belong to, my nic there is MAJICHANDS...yeah I know MaGic is with a G, but I was going for the "majestic" type feel. I'll explain it...

I've competed in quite a few guitar competitions in my time and have done very well with them. I remember winning a pretty big one in my area to where when the guy announced me as the winner, he said "Dan the man with the magic hands" so quite a few of my friends started to call me that but it never really caught on at the time. I then won this guitar competition years ago and got a trophy that said "The God of New Jersey" LOL!! When I first signed up for the internet, GodOfNewJersey was my nic because I couldn't think of anything else.

I hated when people would say in chat rooms "hey God..." it just didn't sit right with me because I'm not an ego person and do not think I'm a "god" of anything no matter how many trophies or awards I may or may not get. I also had a few religious people ask about the name and it just didn't feel right. So after talking to some girl in a chat room in the old days of prodigy internet while connected via 14.4 modem lol...I decided to change it. I'm thinking....hmm...magic hands sounds kinda cool since I get called that a bit....but it doesn't look too cool. What can I do to make it look cool and have a bit of majestic.....wait a minute....MAJICHANDS all one word in caps!!! That makes me feel and look important!!! LMAO! I've used it ever since...but on the more professional type sites I use my real name. So if you ever see MAJ with the J, chances are it's me.
