Irrelevant Stuff Here This is for people who would rather talk about god / pizza than songwriting and condenser microphones.

Heloooo Andrew07?

YouTube is a name. In our world of ecclectic views and things on our mind, switching from here to there and maybe, back-again, YouTube is a name.

It sold for ten figures to a group of college students in their jeans and t-shirts.

As for the quality, if it matters you can always provide a link for people with higher bandwidth to view a high res video like this famous series:

YouTube - Where the Hell is Matt?

Look at the lower right hand corner of the video viewer.

Those products you mentioned are simply glomming on to the slip stream of a fish that suddenly multiplied to the tenth over nite.

Also:

It's the number 1 spot for tutorials. Love my tutorials and stand-up comedy.

Chris Rock and Louis C.K.

Example:

YouTube - Of Course I Love You (Original Song)

YouTube - Hero (Original Song)

They are great

Sorry, but the usefulness is very obvious to me.

Can't live without it.

I just did a homemade video for a recording client. Uploaded the video to YouTube for him to review. So easy. No emailing. No dropping to a DVD and mailing.

Once he reviews it and makes comments/suggested changes, I remove it and go back to editing the video.

Just one example of the luxury of living in the 21st century.

I just reread this whole string of posts... and realized it was from 2007. Since then, youtube has made many improvements. They have really increased the constraints for video quality (its much better now). As for YouTube on Mobile devices, I previously believed it was pointless. Of course, though, youtube is very entertaining when you are waiting in long lines, or waiting at the stadium for a football game to start, or if something comes up in a conversation during lunch that MUST have a youtube explanation.

I think it is absolutely incredible to witness the chronicling of the advancement of technology right here in this thread. I think we all agree, today, that youtube is more good than it is bad. Even on mobile devices.
