What is the Creative Zii EGG?

Just saw this new Zii EGG device from Creative (Zii.com) however, according to Engadget, it's not meant for consumers. The specs looks pretty impressive, even better than the ipod touch but why are they not selling to us??

Apparently, you can get the 32GB Zii EGG free when you purchase the SDK for $399 which i think is a cheap price to pay for something that does so much. Any developer here planning to get this?
