 Saturated Music Gear Markets
I'm doing the final touches on the Buy This! chapter in Killer Home Recording. I'm trying to figure out how so many damn mic companies stay in business. It's completely nerve racking trying to give someone a thorough understanding of what they need to buy when there are so many damn options. Recommending an electric guitar is relatively simple. You've got a Strat, Les Paul, Tele, copies/variations of those, and a few misc designs. The end. Just play one and buy it. With microphones it's a complete disaster trying to cover the ins and outs of selecting your first microphone especially without the benefits of actually using it. So how is it possible that all these mic companies are still in business? Brandon
