Hey guys, I'm Adam from the North East of England.
I'm 21 and primarily a guitar player. I got into recording about two years ago but only seriously about six months ago.

I plan on releasing a demo album this winter, only five songs, but I am really struggling wit the mixes, I'm getting a lot of mud, particularly when listening on headphones, despite the fact I take huge chunks out of everything between 100 and 200hz, I know this is often a muddy area so links to such posts will be really appreciated.

Welcome. I find that the mud is usually 300-700. The "thickness" problems are usually around 100-200. You'll want sweep your EQ through and find where they are for sure.
