People need to realize that these chuckleheads work for us.

I have gotten into the habit recently of writing my representatives in Washington once a month just to let them know what is on my mind. It's usually a lot of "weather sure is nice" and "the Cards really stunk the place up", but I'm also sure to throw a couple of "radical" ideas in there like firebombing the Federal Reserve.

They ignored me at first, but one of them has actually started writing back.

If more people just took the time to drop their reps a short letter every once in awhile they would realize that we are keeping an eye on them.

It sounds stupid, but it makes more sense than sitting around bitching about them on a home recording website.

Get on the internet and find yourself a cause. I'm a firm believer in the First Amendment and you aren't practicing civil disobedience you are missing out some good clean fun.

It is happening, that slumbering old giant can only take so many kicks to the balls!

I don't believe the politicians know the difference anymore. It's getting hard as hell for me to tell the difference.

The generals are all politically controlled. They seem to serve at the will of the commander-in-chief.

OUR generals are politically controlled. By politicians - good thing. I was talking about those around the world who are not.

For example, in Chile, on Sept 11, 1973 Kissinger and the CIA engineered a military coup against a democratically elected president. For the next 17 years people "disappeared" thrown out of helicopters into the ocean. Google "Victor Jara" to see what that does for music.

It's much better to be governed by politicians than generals. That's a fact and that was my point. The two party system has generally forced us toward the center, which I think is a good thing.

Anyway, politics was the last thing I really wanted to talk about. I won't be replying here anymore. My mistake, nothing personal.

Screw it! I just wrote my representative. What a bunch of boring rambling!

I can see this being a good habbit to get into. Maybe I'll brush my teeth today or do some push ups .

Wow. I looked at my post and was like "W T F!?". I don't write like that.

I don't know about ( well much, anyhow ) the politics of Chile, but I do realize that we have involved ourselves in their affairs as well as those of a number of countries all over the world.

Thank the politicians and the generals for that. The common citizenry would be up in arms if most had any real clue what is done behind our backs.

By the way, I think the two party system actually is used to drive a wedge between normal citizens. Pick a topic that both the extreme right and left can work themselves into a frenzy about and you carry a sizable chunk of the population with you. While they are busy working themselves up over the "distraction", you quietly carry out your own policies which have little or nothing to do with what the general populace really wants or needs.

It's a great tactic for consolidating your power base with little chance of repercussions.

I think a little updating is needed.

Even I could invent a better way to improve the economic system than the two many cooks we've elected to spoil the stew.

The way the Treasury works, who can keep up with it.
