I rode in a Lamborghini Murcielago today.

A mega close friend of mine (and former business partner) essentially struck oil about a year ago and has been killing with his internet marketing business. He stopped by the house to day to show me his Lamborghini Murcielago.

I have to say that while this thing is entirely impractical in every way possible and is entirely senseless, it is a hell of a lot of fun. In the midwest you don't see cars like this too often. People with money buy large SUVs even if they have zillions.

The thing that surprised me the most was how freakin' loud this thing is. You feel like you are doing about 150mph when you are only doing 30. We got pulled over by a cop who "heard us get on it". We had to explain to the cop that we were only doing 30mph. Of course, if only that damn cop could have heard us when we went from 0-100mph in like 4 seconds.

Actually, I think I did better than my buddy. I got to take part in the initial novelty of the car. I got to hear how loud it is and how damn fast the thing is, but I don't have to make the payments, worry about where to park at Walmart or deal with all the attention the thing gets (and it gets A BUNCH....as you'd imagine.)

So I highly recommend your friends get rich so you can play with their toys a bit. Then you can take your Civic equivalent to a gas station without being pestered. That's my view anyway.
