So tonite I'm laying down some tracks for my Thanksgiving Contest tune I'm working on, and there is a difficult bridge that I need to 'improvise' vocally on.
It's hard to do so sober, but with perhaps a little fire in the belly, perhaps I'll lay down that take that might otherwise not come. I was drinking some hot Peppermint tea to help w4rm up the vocals for the inevitable stretching that would entail on the tune, and thought to myself "Hmm, maybe some Zambuca would go good with this". Sure enough, ice cold Zambuca shot, chased with a hot sip of Peppermint tea? Damn, that's good. I guess licorice and peppermint go well together. I'm happy, laying down the tracks - we'll see if I like them tomorrow. Finally got the arrangement (loosely) completed, now will probably work on the mix a bit tomorrow after my ears rest a bit. By the time I get this song to release on this forum, it will probably only represent the early stages of the song - only live performance with a full band is going to flesh it out and reach it's potential. But hey, I have a deadline I'm trying to reach ![]() The only problem now is, now that I've got a couple shots of Zambuca in me, I want to fucking party, but this town is lame on a Thursday night ![]()
