Does France Really Hate The US?

My above statement could have came out wrong. Let me rephrase it. Why is it that the current mode of faith requires you to be illogical? It certainly does, but why?

It seems that if the master plan of God was executed as eloquently as it is by the Christian definition, it seems the more we find out, the more the Bible would make sense. That's not been the case.

This alone, besides numerous other examples (The Inquistion(s), Christian Conquistadors, The Pope randomly deciding that certain assisinations were not a sin, etc) shows to me that the Bible is about as secular device as a person could find. I believe the divinity of the Bible is a total lie.

The current positive view of Christianity by the masses in the US (love, helping they neighbor, etc) is incredibly new in practice. It's an extremely liberal view. It's important not to judge history by our current views. Fair enough. But what changed that allowed Christianity to actually make a weak attempt at actually being Christ like? That answer is easy. Science. Starving people slaughter each other. Fat people watch Friends.

If it was just an issue of being fat and lazy I wouldn't be too concerned. I'd just lump them with the potheads and be done with it.

It gets much worse when you get into the political control factor of religion. Religions most useful mechanism is for politicians to easily recruit armies. This is how Muhammed did it. This is how Constantine did it. It's been done over and over again. Even now, George W/Obama have done it with this Iraq mess (probably less of a factor than the numerous Holy Wars in the past).

It seems to be a pretty effective formula. Make them think they have the superior moral higher ground. Give them a book that no one reads and tell them it has mystical powers. Give 'em a hoop to jump through every Sunday morning. When you need a war, call 'em up.

Well it's kind of like a gang's territory. You have to go through the initiation process (baptism) and certain rituals (communion) and participate in regular proceedings (going to church on Sunday) before you're allowed to enter the territory without fear of being shot at (sent to Hell).

my interaction with french people, brings me to the conclusion that:

1) Parisians hate it when foreigners speak english (including the british) in paris but strangely its not like that or at least less with other languages. its a 'superior language thing' they have against the brits and hence, the americans gets it because of their pop culture. its not a personal thing its more political. but then it depends what kind of ethnic background you come from as a Parisian. plus they have a different accent from the rest of france.

2) non Parisians are generally ok with Americans and they generally dont quite like Parisians (but this is not a rule!). this is quite prevalent with those from Marseille. there are a lot of africans/arabs/asians in the city area. they generally love afro-american music.

3) love american music/ despise american politicians and american packaged tourists. those people give the US tourists a bad name.

4) no one in the world loved the Bush Administration.

ok feel free to disagree with me. i have had loads of good friends from france and this is the impression i get from my interaction from them.

you are going to be surprised with this but in Islam, there's EVERYTHING in heaven, including beer.
