I was wondering if we could have some kinda place where people could upload backing tracks for download, that is more permanent than the stuff in the bash this mix section (and would be made for improvising over).

Are you saying that you want to be able to upload drums and bass, for example, and then let someone else add guitars or keyboards?

Is that the idea?

Well I was thinking similar to what www.guitarbt.com has. Basically people make jam tracks with whatever instruments they want and the idea is that people can use the to practice soloing over, but we could have the option like you mentioned above which would be really cool, kind of a joint song writing thing?

Ok cool, I was also thinking it would be cool if you could add some stuff like an equipment section to the memeber profiles. That we would could get to direct tone comparisons etc without being hindered by "what amp are you using?" every other post.
