Black Friday

Did you or a person in your family go to the early bird sales on black friday?

My wife goes just about every year. Plans out the shopping in advance and trys to spend as little time and money at each store. The deals didn't seem to be as good this year for the cheap stuff (less then $50 items). But many stores were running $380 laptops, would have gotten one if we had the money.

No shit? $380 laptops? I'm glad I didn't know that or I would have been tempted.

I always wanted to amass a team of football players in full pads. I wanted each one to have a tiny Mini DV camera and I wanted to pull off a huge scavenger hunt in the middle of the already total chaos. It would be a jackass type of thing. Since, I hate shopping, it would be my way of maybe not bringing the system down, but at least pissing it off.

Yeah, the only shopping I usually do is for music or musical gear. Still, $380 for laptops? Damn. That's pretty good.

I guess so, atleast on $380 ones they did, lol. Wonder if there is a USB 2 to firwire adaptor? Seeing that most high end audio interfaces are firewire, these $380 laptops may not be good for the audio pros out there.

My mom got hit in the head with a cabbage patch doll in all the confusion. Fuck gettin up at 3:30am to go stand in line to buy something 100 bucks cheaper than normal and get hit it the head with various mechandise.

I just got a lesson on this. Apparrently, My Little Pony is huge still. So is Ninja Turtles. There were a few other mega popular toys when I was a kid that are still big.

I think the toy industry and the music industry aren't that much different. Why make something new when you can keep selling the same old shit?

Yeah, it's not like the kids are going to say "hey, this shit's old!" Everthing's new to them. Plus, the parents would rather buy stuff that they did as a little kid, like cabbage patch kids and stuff.
