Default Better Lawn Moving

Well, this week, I've pushed the laziness envelope to possibly a new level. I had 15 minutes to mow a yard that normally takes closer to 45 minutes. The solution? Just mow half of it!

No, I didn't more only the front or whatever. I actually mowed my yard in stripes. I alternated between "rows". So I have a row of short grass and a row of tall grass.

I theorize that it could save me some time and fool people into thinking my yard is a little shorter than it really is. We'll see how my theory goes.

Very funny!!

I actually had the same situations 3 days ago. And I mowed the front (right side of the driveway) and one sideyard!

Then i didn't for a day or two. Then it rained! pretty cool

Hey, you know, the main thing to watch for (if you want healthy grass) - in case you don't know! - is - don't mow too high a percentage of each grass blade - kind of like an eq thing...

Not more than....something like 20% off the top or whatever. Certainly don't chop off the top 60% - bad for the plant! so...if that tall part gets too long....just put mower on highest setting....and then do it again at a lower setting a few days (or something!) later....

I used to f'n HATE lawn mowing. What a frikkin waste of MY time. (I am not exaggerating here). But with kids and green neighbor lawns influencing me here in suburbia....I finally want this lawn pretty green.

Still tho....recording pride beat lawn pride any day....if only the house were quiet

Cinch bugs eat my lawn... no mowing necessary.

Seriously, I haven't mowed the lawn once this year. The neighbours have all done it at least five times, and the guy who lives opposite does his at least three times a week. I wonder what its like to have that much time on your hands?

Alas, its all gonna end soon. I'm on vacation, and I have to dig up the front lawn, put down the amount of top soil there should have been to start with and seed with clover/grass. Low maintenance, doesn't need mowing, looks green and lush, and doesn't get eaten.

I wonder if these can be imported to MO.

I'm pretty sure that's not a vacation! That sounds like WORK!

Then again, once per year I try to take a week and do some ball busting manual labor. I'm not in any way spiritual, but there is something monk like about putting in 60 hours of bust ass labor.

Get you a zero turn radius mower. I can mow my front, back, & side yard (approx.1 acre) in about 35 minutes. The sonofabitch is awesome.

And cats don't survive if they get hit with one.

The ultimate lawn mower is those automatic jobs. Seriously. Have you seen them?

They are cheaper than a riding mower!

Oh, this is about mowing!

I thought there was a way to move a yard somewhere else so someone else would have to mow it.
