Yeah, I know. Unfortunately, I'm a bit of a procrastinator too. Although, you should have seen the list a couple years ago! Massive!

Black-Eyed Peas was a brow raiser, but in the hip-hop genre I'd say it was a good choice. Why? Because I think they got the talent to hang around quite a bit longer (which can be unheard of in the hip-hop genre).
I guess it was meant to be a brow-raiser (I ain't usually really in to-all-a-'dat), though like you said, they do have the talent to last. That is 'something' in the genre. I'm not really a fan of most of what I hear in the "Hip-Hop" scene, but I think I could honestly enjoy one of their concerts. Plus, it wouldn't be that bad to see Fergi gyratin' them hips if you know what I mean .

I'M ALSO TAKING BETS ON WHO IS SNUFFING IT FIRST:

-Lou Reed
-David Bowie
-Peter Gabriel
-David Gilmour
-David Byrne
-John Cale
-Tom Waits
-Iggy Pop
-Daniel Lanois
-Jeff Buckley (i know... but the other guy said Marillion, right?)

Well, that is yet a whole new thread: bands you'd see if you had a TIME
MACHINE...

why thank you.

seriously, don't you miss "clutching at straws" kind of thing?
i would have respected them more had they changed their name... but of
course mr. executive producer wouldn't have liked that.

I'm actually 'with' you on all counts man. "Clutching At Straws" is actually my favorite album of theirs too. And yes, it's frustrating when a band omits the elements of character that made them who they are, and still keep the same name. In history, I've not witnessed one satisfying move of a band that's completely changed their sound, only to keep their name, as if they'd lose the fans familiar with the original name. That's a rant waiting to happen. I'll stop for now.

Cheers,

Which band or artist have you not seen yet, but want to see before they keep over?

My Choices (and I need to stop procrastinating):

- Aerosmith (my high school heroes from the TITA days)
- Eric Clapton
- Alice Cooper
- Rolling Stones (I hear their touring again soon; wheelchairs this time?)
- Paul McCartney
- KISS
- New Kids on the Block (okay, stretching it now).

Sheesh, I need to get of my arse!
Stones, Aerosmith, KISS and NKOTB (no knights of the bitches)

Heavyness:

Opeth
Metallica (again)
Cannibal Corpse
Nile
Lamb of God (again)
Meshuggah

Other stuff:
Porcupine Tree
Rush
Motley Crue

I had the very distinct pleasure of crossing a band off of this list in 2007. I saw Ozzy Osbourne from the third row in San Antonio right after seeing LoG from the pit at freefest. Despite the fact that he'd been having knee problems, was on painkillers, and the doctor told him to stop performing, he still fucking rocked.

Yeah, it's in his blood....among lots of other things, but Oz will rock till he drops (well, he's done that plenty of times).

He had to leave the stage halfway through the show to go rest. He was limping, but as soon as Zakk finished his solo, he came right back and continued the pwnage.
