It is a very nice reference mix, thanks brandon! After listening to your mix , I think I still need to work on my mix a lot more. It really helps , I like the little tweak in your mix , it seems more than enough is too much. Thanks!

Hey Brandon,
This is a perfect mix! In terms of electronic dance music "vernacular", you have all the elements spot on! Though many members say the vocals are buried, I think they are appropriately placed in context of a dance song; since usually dance tracks (and especially remix tracks) are played in clubs, the vocals aren't the KING of the mix (that's the Kick Drum's role) so it's OK for the vocals to be more supporting sweeteners than they are lead roles (in fact, they are often chopped and rearranged in stutter/glitch style; but since Jetface wants the vocals intact ...).
Your use of reverbs and delays I find appropriate too, since the band (after hearing 2 of their songs now) tend to lean towards that '80's synth pop sound, where they used even bigger amounts of reverb at the time. Yours is a mid point between that era and today's era, where it is softer but still pronounced in a way. The auto-tuning works fine too to my ears; they are placed in the right moments of the track's progression.
All in all, it's a very professional mix! Well done!
One thing though: in the rules, you said Jetface want the loudest part to hit -6 dB RMS, but when I ran your .mp3 mix through TT DR's Offline Meter, it only returned approximately -8 dB RMS. I tried running it through Wavelab, and it too hit a max of -8 dB RMS. Can someone else confirm this? I mean, if Brandon himself has a hard time reaching the specified -6 dB RMS, I wonder how us with less methods to work with can achieve that dynamic constraint?
Cheers,
Jetface - Can't Stop Your Heart Tonight (REDenyx Remix)

I'ts is always helpful having a reference for the contest purposes. Thanks for that.
Specially when trying to make it sound as loud as yours, Master !
Wow very heavey mix, but agin, and ive noticed it in many mixes, none had lowpassed the synth and eqd it to put vocal in the front. It sound very confusing .
Stereo image is nice. Louder, more defined drums and/or vocals would've been nice to achieve a better center-side balance. However, the song does actually take my mind somewhere else, and lets me feel it instead of just analyzing it. And that's the whole point, isn't' it? So all in all: the remix/arrangement is good, but the actual mix could use a bit more work. Nice work!
Energy in the chorus feels great! Love a lot of the additional syncopated percussion elements. Some of the delay trails seem to poke out in places.
I was expecting the low-fi 'Operator' voice to come in during your bridge (a la Lords of Acid, LSD=Truth) maybe the "let's dance like we're zombies" vocoder track could become more prominent. Pounding bridge drums were a nice touch(!!) but seemed to stop too soon and then switch to another idea before the rap.
Sounds like maybe a fade in on the drum room mics/verb before the second chorus, kinda slap-backy for a second but tightens back up in time for the chorus. Spatial and frequency wise, everything sounds spaced out great, even with a decent amount of 'room' there's not much mud at all, lots of clarity!
Outstanding job!
It sounds **** but still very clear. Well balanced. LOUD!!! That's for sure!! I love the toms in the bridge. The track has a nice gloss about it that I usually tend to like.
I realized I hadn't actually given my 2 cents (and that's about what it's worth) on this one. Good overall mix to me. Vocals might've been tucked back there a bit more than I'd like, but I've also been told that my vocals tend to stand out more than some people prefer, so maybe you're spot on, lol. I wasn't such a big fan of the autotuned rap section, but I like how everything sat in the mix during that. I'm really jealous of how you get everything to gel together overall. Someday I'll get there
