Default tube amp problem

so the other day i was jammin on my 5 watt tube amp, which i love btw. and i went to go mess with the EQ and i accidentaly stepped on my surge protector for a split second causing it to push down on its switch and to temporarily turn my amp off. i mean we r talkin like 2 seconds. so my amp came back on and i kept jammin, but then about 30 seconds later, my amp starting cutting out, and then squeal extremely loudly. so i turned it off thinking it was somekind of amazingly terrible feedback or crazy microphonics. so after about 2 hours i turned it back on to do a quiet jam, and it started to play nice, and then it started to squeal and pop again. so i replaced its preamp tube thinking it was microphonics, and that didnt do shit. i turned it back on and it did the same thing, squeal and pop and yell uncontrollably. so what the fucks its problem? did i blow my powertube? or did the momentary power-outage mess up my transformer or something? I need help

thx in advance

What type of amp is it?

Check all of the other obvious stuff to rule them out also...try a different guitar, try a different cord plugged straight in, etc.
