I don't have one, but I've played them.

Pretty good, especially for the money. They have a nice sound, and, while I haven't recorded any myself, I have heard one on a recording, and they sound quite nice. So, if you want a guitar for not a lot of money, I'd go with this one...

Or a Takamine G230, which I have, but I'm not sure if they make them anymore.

I too have played the Seagull in question and I personally liked the sound. Never had it at home nor in a studio but I think that for a few hundred bucks its not a bad buy at all. I know Opeth recorded some of their accoustic tracks with seagulls, but that isn't a great place to look considering they've recorded with bunches of other accoustics...just good to know someone out there uses em.

i just played a small body folk guitar in Sam Ash that was used but man it sounded so silky and sweet.... no wonder they are well liked man! i think one day i iwill snap one up for laying stuff down and playing around at least.... its cheap its simple and it soudns good why not?i mean i mean they are not very fancy looking and so i might not play one live but.... the tone is there for sure

Dude, you should see my guitar. it's been dropped so many times, it's not funny. My brother seems to think it's fun to "play" my guitar, the drop it. I still play live with it. Whatever sounds good, I guess.

I have heard Seagul called the Agile of acoustics. I keep hearing good things about them and the prices are nice.

they do seem to have a lot of bang for the buck, i just wish that they looked a little cooler.... they sort of have a look all their own though, thats not a bad look its just kinda bland.... might get one of the glossy ones for the lead singer in my band though.... she can make anything look good

I have owned a cedar top folk Segull guitar for about 12 years now.It is as plain as they come, not even a pickguard. But for playability and tone it can't be beat.I own Gibsons and Martins But the Seagull is the hardest to put down.
