Rocktron Banshee Talkbox, anyone?

I just bought mine 3 days ago after watching it on youtube and reading reviews. I was very impressed and excited with the fact that you can make it sound like the instrument is talking. However, it does take some practice to actually make it sounds like it's talking (harder than it looks). I'll be using it on keyboard more than on guitar. I'm still learning how to get those vowels and pronunciations cleaner and clearer. It's quite fun and I drool a lot with that tube in the mouth.

Does anyone here own or have played with a talkbox? What do you use it on; keyboard or guitar? What do you think of it; good/bad/worth it/useless?

The Talkbox is a classic effect so I wouldn't say it's worthless. I recorded one last month and it was a ton of fun and really added to the song.

Ultimately, it's a creative tool. When you need it, you have it.

I totally think it's worth it. I was having so much fun yesterday on the keyboard. On the keyboard you get more variety of sounds and I found that more fun than on guitar. Consider I'm not singer, this thing makes me feel like I can sing in tune and as high pitch as my keyboard allows. I just want to sing all night. I'm actually getting better at it, too. This thing gave me new ideas for our next gig already, though my wife thinks I look like an idiot with the tube in my mouth. She said it looks like I'm on a feeding tube or something like that... Lol.... Hilarious. Very cool piece though.
