RIP Les Paul

A true pioneer in the music industry left us today. Les Paul was 94 years old. Next time you pick up your Les Paul guitar play a sweet note for him will ya?....I know I will.

Thank you Les Paul for the beautiful guitar you gave the world. I have built a few of them but now I'm finally making one just for myself.

Les Paul was a true innovator. The thing that always seemed a little incongruous to me was that I first heard Beck, Page, Kossoff, etc. getting all that fat tone out of his namesake guitar prior to hearing his music, which was of course much tamer and pop oriented for the time. I wonder if he thought his namesake axe would sound that way.
