Default My 1963 Ace Tone Duetto

I have 3 Vintage 60's Tubers and a few SS amps too - my baby is my 1963 Ace Tone Duetto - Almost MINT - with Reverb and Tremelo to die for. The Ace Tone Company later became ROLAND (same Japanese Guy)...

It's 20-watts - Everything Inside (even the labels) is Japanese - apparently their answer to the Fenders (I also have an old 1966 MultiVox 15-watter, and a Harmony 400) and this baby is as **** as melted butter - throw a tubescreamer in front and it's a poor-mans PLEXI...

NICE! The tube layout looks sort of similar to the 18 watt marshalls from back then (minus the reverb). I bet you can cop some of that early marshall 18 watt grind!

good stuff!

yeppers - she's sweet as can be - breaks up at about 7 - a TS helps give it extra oooomph. Although for recording I don't need the extra (1st rule of recording is to TURN THAT DAMN GAIN DOWN.) Also for being so old there's almost no hum - compared to an old MultiVox and an old Harmony 400 I have that hum a bit...
