Default electric to acoustic aoftware under cubase.

hello all

i was wondering, if there is software that can give my electric guitar an acoustic sound (like acoustic guitar)?

if there is something like that, is it working with cubase?

thanks ahead.

There may be something inside cubase that will give you what your wanting. I haven't used cubase in a while, but record a riff on your electric. Then click on the track, and see if you can find something that says "track effects" or something similar to that. It may be under the eq settings. Check to see if there is a pre-setting that says acoustic. It's probably not going to give you a real acoustic sound, but it may be decent. Hope that helps.

There are many VST amp sims on the market today. Im sure at least one of them should be able to do the job.

Off the top of my head: Revalver, GTR, Guitar Rig, Amplitube or FreeAmp.

I think you are looking for, multi band compressor, it is in the insert fx in cubase, open the program up and look for a drop down list I think it is at the top somewhere, this will get you close to the sound you are looking for, then play with the EQ to get closer to the sound you want, if you don’t have any joy let me know and I will have a go at home for you. This is a good opportunity to learn more about a grey area in music production, you can learn only so much the rest you have to dive in on your own, give it your best shot, make sure you write settings down as you go along.
