Default Dimarzio vs Bareknuckle Pickups

Hey guys,

I'm trying to get a nu metal sound (chevelle, breaking benjamin, linkin park) and i'm looking at getting new pickups. I've done a little research and from what i've read so far the Dimarzio and Bare Knuckle pick ups are good for that sound. I've got a PRS SE. Can you guys give me some opinions of what pickups are good for this type of sound? Thanks.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, the Dimarzio's I'm looking at are the D-Sonic. I don't know what Bare Knuckle pickups to use though.

Well since nobody is posting anything, I'll chime in. I just bought some DiMarzios. Super Distortion in fact. It's not the D-Sonic, but it certainly gives me that nu metal sound I was after. It's VERY chunky and responsive to dynamic playing, but also clear enough that the melody is going to punch through the chunk and be heard. In fact with a distortion pedal up front it makes my crappy marshall sound like a mesa. No joke buddy, this pickup kicks some serious ass. I was skeptical because the pickup was patented in 1972! But surprisingly it sounds very modern. I know, weird right? LOL, anyway... let me know what you think

Yea i've been looking at those too. Don't know which ones i'm going to end up with though. Thanks for your help! I'll let you know what I end up doing. I'll probably get a new neck pickup too while I've got the guitar taken apart.

WELL, i've owned dimarzio, and played thru bareknuckle, and dozens of other manufacturers and models..

my current favorites are Bill Lawrence, over all the others.
everybody's tastes are different, but lawrence has enough models to satisfy just about any direction you'd want to go in..

bang for the buck is extremely high, do yourself a favor..
