Default Tolo - Still Falling...

Hey everybody...

Hope all is well. Here is a tune I wrote to celebrate the 49 year long love of my in laws. Call me sentimental - but I wanted to give them something unique and just for them... But don't let it stop you being brutal!!

Keep well folks,

Tony.

Wow, this is very beautiful to listen to. Other then the reverb seeming a little thick at times it's really nice..I really like the 4 notes you chose at 0:54 and then repeated..perfect example right there how just little things can really do a lot! almost has kind of a "Momentary Lapse of Reason" feel to it..Thanks for sharing.

Sweet instrumental! I see you've put your own twist on The Shadows-type thing - very well done - nice composition... The only thing I would change is the drum sound. Might be a personal taste thing, but to me they sound a bit "smacky" for this type of tune, especially the kick. Good stuff, as usual.

Well written, captured, and mixed.

What I would like to hear from it is just a little more thump from the kick.
Take a touch of the reverb away from the kick. It will clear it up. It only needs a little taken away though, in my opinion. You might also need to give it a couple of extra db @ 63hz or so. Pull a little of the "click" out of the kick if needed after that.

Snare needs a little boost around 120hz to fatten it up.

I like the reverb and delay on the lead. It gives me the impetus to try really playing with some huge verb sounds now.

Cool tune.

hey this is awesome! i agree with the first poster, very late pink floyd-ish. reminds me of the bridge in high hopes. the production is very good but i have two comments. 1) the acoustic guitar would benefit being a tad dryer and higher in the mix - to me it just feels a bit cold and distant with so much reverb. and 2) i think the synth pad should have been much w armer. it has a very clinical, icy, computer synth feel to it. it would be awesome if it had a 60's/70's analog touch on it. but that's just opinion!

anyways, great job man i really like the song!
