Default Tolo - Miranda

Hello folks!

Still on the guitar / tone trail - rooted in trying to get an authentic 60's sound for a film score project!!

Here is something original written as a gift for my lovely lady.... Let me know what needs to change (got new monitors and still getting used to them..)

Hope everyone is well,

Tony.

Very nice! Sounds like you've got a handle on those new monitors... Only two things I'd point out - The bass sounds a little "modern" for the era you're trying to capture & the acoustic guitar becomes slightly intrusive in the top end around about the 2 min mark. Lovely track.

Like the song. Nice layering and portamento.

Should work for 60's style flim sound track

The sound that comes in around 0:56, maybe bass, does not fit the song. The low end timbre or bass doesn't fit well.

That/those? electric guitars sound superb! Playing does them justice as well,

I heard
a snippet of 'the shadows' on the radio palying live, yes this year. I was bowled over with the sound and the controlled playing.
Well thats exactly what you've captured, that authentic 50/60's tele/strat whammy bar, valves, spring reverb sweet sound.

great playing Tolo

Paul.... Thanks so much for this. It means a lot.... I have tweaked amplitube so much to get that elusive valve texture with a slight edge... I would appreciate it if you have a listen to this remix - done today (and with an added vocal cameo by the lady herself).... Strings and piano all better defined, guitars all pulled up a little with some of the tremelo guitar pulled up for those duane eddy bass notes in the mid 8.... And yes - the music of that time does still sound good, fluid and melodic. I think we forget sometimes in the pursuit of making something impressive and miss the beauty completely.

I think its a better mix....

You made my day. Thanks chap.

Best,

Tony.

Hi Tolo,
sorry for the late reply.

The second one sound slightly louder overall. The vocal cameo at the end is a welcome addition adding to the emotional impact.. An excellent piece.
