Hi TheTool,

Cool Stuff - I really like it - Not much to tear apart .

A couple of suggestions though:

Instead of the abrupt change at 0:38, I would extend that keys chord into the heavy bit, then just fade it out. ie. so the sound "swells" then bang!

I think the drums are getting a bit buried by the heavy distorted part.

Good stuff though.

What do you mean by an "intro to an album"?

Steve.

Pretty cool! I like the style.

The acoustic guitar delay in the beginning is kind of harsh though, that's all I got.

Hey Tool,

I have to agree with a previous comment, the change at :38 is definitely abrupt. Perhaps you could extend out the acoustic guitar a bit in the beginning and fade it out over/through the heavy part coming in at :38.... that might give it a real nice transition between the two.

Hey Tool,

First of all i love the big guitar sounds, nice job... and also i kinda like the sudden drop out at :38. it just seems to fit with this.

One thing i would do, IMO, is make the snare come out i little more, make those rim shots right out in front... this is coming from a drummer, but again... its really just how i like my drums sound for style.

nice job, its perfect for an album intro!

I thought this was really cool! .
I love the use of really abrupt changes and stuff like that, though i think it comes a little toooo quickly. I would leave the silence for 4 beats before the big metal guitar hit, just to balance it out a little.
Great job!

Yeah the drop out is done on purpose.

I like that idea of the 4 beats, but that would change the song and be alot more than just mixing it.

Thanks for the responses...

i'll probably post the mixes for the other songs up, when i do them.

That's very cool. What did you do to get that guitar to sound like that at the beginning?

I'll screen it real quick. It was one of the first things i did in the mix so i barely remember.

Acoustic Electric through the peizo. Compression knocking off 4-5 at most though the ssl-g and then eq'd.
