This is a nice fat full sounding track.I have dfh in my studio but never use it on recordings just for songwriting or for a meter.I think if you pan off some of that tamborine/bongo percussion stuff hard l&r it will open the track up a bit. Also pan those guitars.Everthing sounds good just a little lifeless to much of a perfect drum meter no groove.I think the eq and mix are fine just spread out the mix a little more to give it air.Other than that this is a nice sounding track as is.Good Job! I'm in agreement with rockerdude...Open up the track with a wider stereo spread. The tune has a lot of potential. Nice, Chico

On the pan left and right, try using a different patch or even just different eq or drive settings for one of the tracks to add some air to it. I agree about the tempo being a bit too locked. Have you tried the humanize button yet? I just started working with EZD myself so I am not sure how much difference it makes. I keep waiting for the vocal "Leggo my eggo, leggo my eggo, my toast is dead, so fuck this bread" or something like that.

This is definitely one of your better mixes and is executed very well. The mix is a bit dry for my tastes, I don't hear much verb on anything and it's a bit cloudy in the low mids. When you mix, start with your main beat keepers (kick snare bongo etc) and add instrument, cut/boost necessary frequencies and continue. -Greg |

i used cool edit before but i decided to switch to flstudio and study it. i have tried the humanize button in ezd but what it does for me is just humanize the velocities of the drum track. i still don't know how to humanize the tempo for flstudio. maybe some more research is needed.hehe. thanks bro!!!Quote:
