That's nice, there are some good good ideas in there. Now print it out, work it over and make some music out of it.

my music was never anything anyone wanted to "sit back and enjoy", I believe a satisfying session llistening would be something someone "works for " too. In other words i don't want to "change" this one. I believe its all there. Thanks.

Now, I'm confused. Why did you post on a BTR if you're so satisfied with the piece and don't desire any critical discussion of it?

The problem (since you asked by posting) is that "it's all there". Precisely. It would be like a chef dumping a lot of random spices, cans of this and that, some meat, some salad, some rice on a platter, then serving it to you and saying, "It's all there. My food was never anything anyone wanted to 'sit back and enjoy', I believe a satisfying dining experience would be something someone 'works for'".

Its not quite game for a food metaphor though for the simple reason that the form that the improv has taken is exactly what I wanted it to be.maybe the other 500 pieces that I've put up here I maybe wanted to know how to change it, but not this one. Also- which parts would you change???If you can tell me every single part that you'd change and what you'd put in its place then I'll change it.
But also- there was no false advertising if I had written "String Piece" then you would assume it should be changes but i specifically said STRING IMPROVISATION, so you should maybe be telling me how to improvise it again, which, I guess there's a chance maybe one in a billion you coould tell me how to do that but I doubt it.Ok, if I'm just this arrogant composer then let me just die with my terrible unfinished work, I'll be dying in bliss because I really love the improvisation.

I'm not in the business of explaining my sig lines. If you don't get the joke: too bad. Here's an old one you might be puzzled by also, "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter"

My point was (put a different way) that there's some usable material in there. Your job, as composer, is to go in there, find the best parts, assemble them and develop some themes that will bind them together into a unified composition. I still think the food analogy is apt.

Again, why post in BTR if you are as satisfied by its state as you are insisting?

I like the sound... wish I could afford a Motif 8. Well actually I COULD afford one, but my wife would then kill me while I'm sleeping, so maybe I'll just have to do without.
