Default steel pan/strings/film pop song

Hey all,

Looking for input on general balance. We're going for a nice clean mix on this one.

Let me have it. Thanks!

My main concern would be that the vocal is lost in the mix. The numerous and varius instruments are REALLY cool. But, it's too congested. Spread them out a little more from left to right, and highlight the vocal.

Pretty darn cool!

Good song! The only thing I don't like is the steel drums; they sound too forced to me. How do you like that Phonic mixer? I was looking at that when I was buying a new one and the reviews were horrible. Sounds like it's working, though, because the quality is great. I do agree about the panning. I'd separate everything a little because it becomes kind of (as archie said) congested. I'd also like a little more piano (which was probably my favorite tone from the song).
