Sports theme revisited - now in a major key!
Gotta love the scale correction in Cubase. After our discussion yesterday, I created a lead guitar solo as the tune, and relegated the saxes to their rightful place
 Still it was just not right. I went to bed unhappy with it. This morning, I got up and just for a laugh tried the scale correction to move it from E minor to E major. Ta-da as they say. That was it. It spawned a whole bunch of work to make the thing sing, but this is it. Maybe not perfect, but this is the triumphant style I think the theme needs. I'm not used to writing in a major key, so it might be a little hokey, but what do you think of this one?

The web site is at Canada's Hockey Anthem Challenge - Hockey - Sports - CBCSports.ca. If you want to sit through all of the entries, you'll be there a while. currently 68 pages, 12 on a page! The web site sucks though and shows some twice.

I thought so. I entered the SoundClick 10th anniversary song contest. More tha 2,000 entries. I made it to the final 200. A hip-hop song won.
I might listen to a few, the storms should hit here in the next two hours.

Sounds very "sporty" to me!!!
Nice job - I'd say you have a great entry... I really liked the guitar solo; fit very nicely. Mix seemed just right, too!
