OK, I didn't comment before because I had really not a lot to say about it but if you insist: It appears not to keep time very well The main guitar sounds as if its played with a lack of fluency. The main guitar level is probably too high and certainly too variable. Some of the drumming is too random. I was trying to think of something good to say about it and then guitar sound starting at 2:35 came it, which is really nice despite the dodgy note at 2:40. Ok demonsthatfall? it needs some work mate, it has potential. thanks for letting us hear it.

the drums completely kill this song, its literally like they're playing a different song altogether. the drums by themselves are not bad, and the guitar is great, but toghether it doesnt work. i do like it though, its good, great musicianship no doubt. but as an entire piece it just doesn't sound like a "song" if you know what i mean Last edited by Dr89; 10-20-2009 at 02:57 AM. |

Like the other guys are saying - I really dig the guitar groove. Nice playing there. But there is certainly a timing issue between the guitar and the drums. I listened to this a few times and at first I was thinking that maybe you had your settings so that you couldn't hear the drum beat very well when you layed down the guitar in order to keep your timing. Assuming you layed down the drums first. But then there's the offbeat snare that keeps coming in once or twice every now and then. The reason I thought this - is because I can almost see how the guitar groove could fit with the drum pattern if slowed down a bit - or the drum sped up some. But - the offbeat snares throw this theory out. So - as you already know - rework the drum beat and you've got a really cool sound going. Wish I had more constructive and different input for you. I'd like to hear a reworked version of this when you get around to it. |
