Default Since you touched me

Hi folks, this is such a swell site, isn't it? Thanks so much, Brandon! And thank God, your email about shutting down was an April Fools' joke! You had me there!
Well, here is another song. This is a duet - sort of Christian pop, with an orchestral feel to it. Please tell me what you think, everyone. Thanks again for your time and your help!
And by the way, if you haven't done it yet, please take the time to rate my other song: Spending My Time here: Spending my time
Thanks!

Very nice vocals. Both the recording and the quality of the voices, tonality, harmony. etc.

Are the drums quantized? They seem a little bit mechanical. Also, I think you have a very nice song that may benefit from a little less (instead of a little more). A slightly stripped down version without the flute and stings may shine a little more light on the beauty of the song itself. All in all - this is quite an enjoyable song. Thanks for sharing!

Nice fat full mix. This song had a real live vibe to it.The songs dynamics came through and that is refreshing in these days of squashing out the dynamics and just making it all louder. Some of the synth choices were a little cheesy.I like the vocal arangement. The song is a weeeee bit long. This is a nice Donnie and Marie sounding track.Great job!

Thanks guys. This was done a while back, so I don't really have the option to go back now. However, to answer your questions: yes, the drums were slightly quantized. I used BFD for the drums. The people I did the song for wanted the flute in. I would have used a nicer flute sample, but at that time I did the best I had.
Rockerdude, I'd really like it if you could specify the 'cheesy' synth sounds. Even though I can't do anything about it now, at least for the future it would be interesting to know. I realise a lot of this is often subjective, but still, it's helpful to know.
Please also take the time to check out the other song I posted a few days back. (Click on the link below). Thanks again!

super vocals!!!!!. put some horns in it. super but it repeats the same chords too many times. shorten it. oh there goes the change (bridge )
maybe a shorter version with the horn section kicking from the start. oh well i would POP it up into a pop style.

Hi Bill. Thanks for your comments and for taking the time. It was done a while back, so I can't really go back to it any more, unfortunately. I did do a horn section, as you must have heard. What did you mean by "pop it up into a pop style"? Thanks again.
Please be sure to audition and comment on my other production here: Spending my time

I meant like it will also fit into pop style music. like they have taylor swift as country but the pop stations also play it . it gets on the center of a seasaw. more of a chance to get known etc. and wow ! again its playing as i type. it sounds super. yea !! i heard those drums accent in there. its kicking as a nice song with top quality vocals and as i personally hear good musical playing . i didn't just mean good as rating it . its pro sound and recorded well. yea, like that violin run towards the end. i think and hate to say it. but i think i heard a lot on this site and i personally would rate this the best i have heard from all genre's that i have listened to on here.i am just another member but am on here "everyday ". i think i will listen to it again. ! It must be the vocals !!!

reminds me of Pebo Bryson and whats her name like The song from the 70 's Reunited and Endless love etc. Well i play few instruments, one being trombone but , i was a bass player as in bands etc, i just hear HORNS. that song has a few open ares where a horn section can really give it and take it to another level. but that is up to you as all sounds great as is. sounds great. nice tune !!!!!!

I agree, horns would be a good addition. Great vocals. Nice job.

Hi Bill! Thanks for clarifying your comment. So you are saying that it would sound good on a pop radio station, right? How do you get it on the radio? I'm way off in India. Any ideas? Do you think there is any way recordingreview.com could help with this or getting in contact. Would appreciate any good ideas along those lines. Thanks for your kind words. I have a few other songs that I am hoping I would be able to post here. (Did you check out the other song yet - Spending my time? Please let me know what you think of that as well.)
BTW, I do like horns a lot, and I did add some - as you noticed. At the time, I was trying to go with the 'less is more' concept, but perhaps you are right in saying it could have had more horns.
