I like "bash".

If you have the nads to post your stuff under a title like that, you are truly a "young grasshopper" - willing to learn at the feet of your master without taking offense.

When dealing with the public, you will find that there is always one of every kind. Some will complain, some will compliment and some will stay indifferent.

Personally, I think 'Bash this recording' is an amazing idea. its such a wonderful tool for engineers/producers to get constructive criticism on their work!

I feel that if someone decides to post their song on 'bash this recording' they need to be prepared for what is to come.... that could include compliments all the way to 'dude that is horrible. fix this, fix that etc'

Well, if someone calls another dude's work "horrible" that member is getting a warning. That's flat out unacceptable around here.

The deal is no whimps allowed, but no bullies allowed either. That's why fights are so rare here (they do happen).

Not entirely true. Some of the more experienced members post their current projects up when they just can't figure out why something isn't working or for a reality check.

You're right. I post some of my stuff ear to get a good objective view on my work. Sometimes I get so deep into a mix that I lose perspective.

Sometimes I need some fine folks to slap me back into submission with a good bashing!
