Default For Sensitive People

Hello all,

Some people have a problem with the title of this forum. "Bash" seems harsh and even negative.

I want to assure people that my goal is to keep Bash This Recording the most friendly, constructive place for home recorders to improve their music/recordings on the planet.

"Bash" is simply a part of my sense of humor. It's not that I'm pessimist or negative. I just happen to think that grumpy old assholes are funny (specifically when Robert Duvall or Jack Nicholson play them on movies). That's all.

So if you get offended by stuff like this, please understand that it's all in good fun and that we like to keep the atmosphere a bit light here.

PS. I've noticed in the past that there is something about having an aggressive title that actually gets people to mellow out and have fun. The mood becomes more fun and there is less negativity. (Maybe I'm crazy)

I think it will be a name that is easier to market. I can graphics made of stick figures smashing stuff. I'm not sure what I would do with "review". That's kind of like "studying".

whew!!!!!!!

I have something to do everyday now. whether it's work or school. at 8 every morning....ugh.. Slowly hashing out tunes.

Thought I would take this oppurtunity to vent. I'm turning into a dick.

Haven't had time to review the site that much. Can't get off of it now.

I would have to ask you the same thing. I was merely saying that I like the new name and that I would try to have some new material up for review soon.

If you read Brandon's first post, you will see that he re-named this section of the forum, to "Bash This Recording" . It used to be called Recording Review or something too close to the name of the actual website.

I think it needs to be named, "I was drunk while playing and recording this- please help!' Why would anyone have a problem with that?

Maybe "I was drunk while playing and recording this- please get drunk before reviewing it"
