Cool tune! Sounds a lot like Gomez. The performances sound good, & the vocals come across very clear... The drums sound like they are brushes(?) & it seems like you've only used distant micing, but they still seem to be over-compressed. Using close mics (or at least increasing their volume in the mix) would give the drums more punch & presence. Currently they sound paper-thin. The mix too, sounds like it is suffering from over-compression - I would suggest compressing the mix at a lower ratio

I agree about the compression. Sounds like it's pumping quite a bit which can fatigue the ears.

Hey.....great live vibe on here - but the whole thing seems a little 'distant'. Agree with everyone on the comp and especially fHumble with the drums - but for me also there needs to be an overall definition / impact from the tracks within the mix. . .

Accoutic guitar sounds great, and is the outstanding instrument for me - and thats the kind of texture that the track needs to make it live across other performances.

But - like I said - a great feel, and a wicked lyric.

Tony.
