hey brandon and hey all of you guys. i think the old system is still the best way. newer posts at the top of the thread list. just my own opinion. i think that the more active reviewers might lose the ability to improve their craft asap coz the threads that have no reviews are in the front lines. i know this would help the songs that havent been reviewed but i think many of the active/non active posters would have difficulty tracking newer posts and newer developments on a certain song that they're bashing. the ability to improve in a faster way would be lessened. i know we could sort out the posts by date but i think it would be easier to track songs or bashes when the threads are set by default on the time and date of the post. if some of the people here that didnt get their reply, are willing to let other people get into their song and get a bash, they could reply to their own thread to take it to the top of list again. that's what i did before and i got replies. im sure members here would reply to anything posted. it just depends on the time and the type of music they're into. im into rock/alternative/metal/funk/grunge so i usually choose the songs on that genre. maybe it just so happened that at the time of my post, many people who are into the same genre as me were listening so i got those replies. im sure all would get replies if they just push their song through this forum to have other people that are interested on their song listen to it at the right time they're also online. and it would also help the thread started would be consistent in checking their own threads to reply as soon as possible to get the thread moving. well this is all JUST MY OWN OPINION. i'm sure you guys would understand. anyway thanks to all and thanks brandon.thanks everybody.!!!

Then when that was over, I changed to yet a newer system. Now songs are sorted by start date. If a song gets a review, it does not move to the top. It simply stays in chronological order based on when it was posted. This lets a tune get tons of posts and attention without giving it an unfair advantage over a tune that maybe didn't get much attention. I think this particular method is going to the one I stick with. |

Well, I've tested this. I had problems with my test account but it turned out that I had ditched that email a long time ago. When I used an account with a valid email, it worked fine. Make sure that the email account you are using is still valid. Brandon |

Well there are a few possibilities. Since my test account worked I'm going to rule out it being on my end for the time being. I bet your email server is blocking the emails. Some companies are notorious for attempting to block out junk mail before it even reaches your inbox. I'm not sure about fixing that one other than contacting your email service and asking them. From there I would make sure that the emails aren't ending up in your junk mail. Brandon |
