Default Newest Composition - "Awake"

this is my newest song, and my best, (i think), in regards to composition and the mix. it includes multiple bass tracks, synthesizers of sorts, piano, MIDI programmed drums, drum audio loops, and sound effects of all kinds. please note, though, that there is no guitar in this recording, or any of my others. i just mention that because the manner in which i play has confused many people in the past into thinking they heard guitar, when in fact it was a bass.

so, with that said, i'd just love to have you guys review this song.

by the way, i record line-in to a PreSonus Firebox interface, and the MIDI instrumentation is played with an E-MU Xboard 49.

Cool tune...
Definately and interesting style but i like it. Just seems like the begining distorted bass sticks out just a bit too much and thats coming from a bassist. I really like the breakdown groove. In my opinion the piano sounds a bit too panned to the right when it comes in. Drums may could come up in the mix they sound a bit too far back, but thats just a matter of opinion. Nice work tho!

Interesting combination. I think I would like it better with real guitars playing the sludgy metal parts. That would add more contrast against the trancy middle section.
