Hello All!
So here is a song for review by the masses. I've had this one in the pocket for some time now and after having the drums recently done by Jim Agrippe of Twin Turbo Studios in Cleveland ( for 50 bucks he tracked the drums to the song and sent the wav's back!), I now have a tune semi done. I need opinions here on the mix etc.... Trash and bash away.... all comments are welcome! Jamie. |

I though the song has potential, mix okay, but until all the parts are there I'm not really feeling it. I dislike instrumentals and it certainly is not one of those. Surely needs some scorching guitar riffs and vox. So yeah cool work. I would like to hear it again when whole.... unless the vox end up being the "I just stabbed my eye and ate a box of nails" style. I don't listen to songs of that nature for more th few seconds after the vox begin no matter how good everything else may be.
You can't find a drummer to work with for free? I never met the drummer in my band. We get the individual drum waves from him all the time for free. You got your 50$ worth that is for sure. Rock on! |

.... I personally don't know any drummers that can do work to this caliber. Plus this dude has equipment that I don't have. ....... Yeah, the song is definitely not finished, but I wanted to see what people thought, I hate getting to attached to a finished song then have to go re due it. Thanks, Jamie. |

VERY rockin' song. The playing is excellent & the guitars sound agressive & REAL. I agree with the other comments about the snare...sounds a little "boxy" to me. Maybe some eq. cuts are needed. It's also pretty relentless, so maybe some playing around with the arrangement (ie. light & shade) could really give that heaviness somewhere to go & make it hit even harder.
